Hey, this is an effect devised by Fred Kaps (The Gypsy's Wild Card (1)) and Pepe Carroll (The Odd Card (2)).
(1) : Published in lecture notes (Manuscript 20)
(2) : It's published in his book (52 Lovers, Vol. I, by Pepe Carroll)
Pepe Carroll's version requires quite a bit of practice to get it smooth, especially due to the Hamman count.
Gabi Pareras's handling is easier; instead of surrounding the odd card with four, he uses three. (That's the one I'm practicing.)
